National Masters Cross and Juvenile Cross Country 03.02.2019
Tom Lupton and Tony Reilly travelled to Dundalk for the last piece of Cross Country action of the season, the National Vets. Tom competed in the 0/35 section, with Tony in the 0/45's. Both lads put in super runs, narrowly missing put on the podium positions, Tom placing 5th in his grade and Tony 4th in his. Great going on the National stage by the boys.
We also had a great day out for the Juveniles in Dundalk. Starting with the girls and Emma Jane Cuddy ran the 1000M for us amongst 150 runners finishing well up the field. The boys U/11 were next with great runs by Fionn Cuddy who finished in the medals in 7th with Darragh Brady, Harrison Marshall, and Ross Dunne finishing well up in a very fast race. Next up in the U/13 girls 2000M Caoimhe Cuddy was in the first 15 home followed by Rebecca Marshall, Leah Smullen and Tara Ring with a strong team performance. U/13 boys of Jack Murrell, Sean Kirby, Dan Murrell, and Ben Toomey bought there good form from the track to all give their all, Next congrats to Grace Meade in the very tough 2500M to continue her good form with a strong run. Final Juveniles were Davin Dunne and Conor Brady in the U/15 2.5K who finished midfield in a very fast race.
Dungarvan 10 mile 03.02.2019
We had a fine crew in Dungarvan for the popular John Tracey 10 mile.
Paul Cuddy was first home in 1:01:37, with Niall Collins next in 1:10.57. First lady was Olwyn Larkin in a fine 1:16:57 followed by Maria Cuddy1:17:57, Olive Maher 1:32.07, Niamh Kavanagh 1:32.14, Julieka Cahill 1:34:12, Noreen Daly 1:41.15, Tracey Gavin 1:45.55 and Margaret Mary Grant in 1:45.58. Lots of pbs on the day, well done to all.
