Leinster Training Squad

Big congratulations to Amy Walsh and Louise Stack who have been selected to attend the weekend training camp in Meath. This is Amy’s fist time being selected and is based on her great run in the All Ireland track and field championships where she finished 3rd Junior in the Steeple chase. Amy’s progress has been great this year and has set many PB’s in different distances this year so far.

 

Kilcavan 5K Road Race

Amy Walsh and Tiarnán Marum were our only junior competitors in this race. Tiarnán had a great run to finish 3rd Junior, well done to Tiarnán keep up the hard work. Amy Walsh also had a super run to finish 5th senior lady.

 

Laois Primary Schools Cross Country

Well done to Caoimhe, Aoife, Fionn, Emma Jane Cuddy, Doireann O’Connor, and Grace Meade who took part in schools cross country on Wednesday last.  There were great numbers in attendance from primary schools across Laois taking part in all 6 events.  Our athletes above finished in the top ten with Fionn Cuddy battling hard to the finish 3rd  getting a bronze medal.  Well done guys.

 

Luggacurren 10k 10.9.17

The 26th annual Luggacurren 10k took place on Sunday last. We had 3 athletes take part with each one returning home with individual medals. Tom Lupton was 5th senior male in 35:28, Noel Marum was 2nd O50, and Grace O’Reilly was 1st Female overall and 1st senior female in 39:29.  Great results congratulations to all.

 

Kilcavan 5K Road Race 8.9.17

We had plenty of the red and while on display in Kilcavan with Amy Walsh and Tiarnán Marum being our only junior competitors in this race. Tiarnán had a great run to finish 3rd Junior, well done to Tiarnán keep up the hard work. Amy Walsh also had a super run to finish 5th senior lady.

In the senior section it was great to see David & Mary Mulhare back in action with David finishing in 2nd place in 16.30, followed by Noel Marum in 17:57, and just behind Noel was Mary Mulhare in 17:58 and Joe Walsh in 20:01, Ciaran Dickson in 22:06.

 

Ratoath 5k 10.9.17

Niall Collins is continuing his fine form of late and achieved another 5k PB of 20.41.  Well done Niall keep it up.

 

Great Pin 10k Run Kilkenny 10.9.17

Martina Delaney and Anna Duggan travelled to Kilkenny to take part in this very worthy fundraiser for Breast Cancer.  Well done girls.
