Congratulations Seodhna Hoey and Seamus Fitzpatrick who both came home with gold and silver medals on Sunday the 26th February at day 4 of the Leinster Junior, Senior and Master Indoor Championships held in the new National Indoor Arena, Abbotstown.

There was great numbers on show for Portlaoise A.C at the Laois County Intermediate Road Race in Vicarstown on the 19th of February, 18 juveniles, 7 senior ladies and 4 senior men.
A new course in Vicarstown along with a bitterly cold wind had our athletes a little apprehensive, as they saying goes "change makes us grow ", but this didn't affect any performances.
Tom Lupton left it late but stormed to victory in the men's novice road race held in Ballyfin, with 600 meters to go Tom had drifted to third place but his never say die determination led him to victory.
We had 3 running in Dungarvan 10 mile. Paula Grant in a time of 64:25.
